Effects of negotiated assessment processes on teachers' professional development

Samenvatting

Problem definition: What are the effects of a negotiated assessment procedure on the development of teachers? competences, i.e., their knowledge and behaviour pertaining to instructing, coaching, and giving feedback in view of developing vocational education students? reflection skills? Data from 28 teachers will be collected and analyzed in order to characterize the negotiated assessment processes. Insight will be gained in how teachers value the different aspects of the negotiated assessment procedure and how they develop their competences as a result of being engaged in negotiated assessment. Data will include observations, interviews, video-recorded peer- and coaching meetings, field notes, and portfolios.
