Samenvatting

The problem definition of this research project is as follows: What are the effects of self-assessment by teachers on the development of their competences, i.e., their knowledge and behaviour pertaining to instructing, coaching, and giving feedback in view of developing vocational education students' reflection skills? Interview data, self-judgements, feed back from peers, and reflective reports from 32 teachers will be collected and analyzed in order to characterize self-assessment processes, how teachers value the different aspects of the self-assessment procedure and how they develop their competences as a result of being engaged in self-assessment.
