Talent Scheme Information Meeting (Veni, Vidi, Vici)

NWO organises information meetings for researchers who want to apply for a Veni, Vidi or Vici grant. During this information meeting, practical information is given and visitors can ask questions to a selection of committee members, laureates and NWO secretaries.

The next information meeting will be held on 25 June 2020. Information about the location and the programme for this meeting will be provided on this web page as soon as possible.

All information relevant for the application can be found online: in our calls, on the website and in the notes on the application form. In addition to this, we have Talent Scheme Information Meetings where there is an opportunity to ask questions to committee members and laureates and meet the contact persons of the different NWO domains (Social Sciences and Humanities; Applied and Engineering Sciences; Science; Medical Sciences). This helps you to find out who you can approach with questions about procedures, forms or grant conditions.

In Q&A sessions, you can question committee members, laureates, and NWO secretaries. They gladly share their experiences with fellow researchers. In addition, applicants can ask specific questions during the breaks, and there will be an opportunity to have a speeddate with one of the NWO secretaries. There are also several short sessions about other programmes that are interesting for young researchers, especially Rubicon, the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowships and the ERC Starting Grants.

About the Talent Scheme

The Talent Scheme has three types of grants for different phases in a researcher’s scientific career: Veni (recently gained PhD), Vidi (experienced) and Vici (professorial level). The aim of the Talent Scheme is focused on talented, creative researchers and provides these researchers with an opportunity to do their own research in order to qualify for a next step in their career.

Since there is considerable interest in our information meetings, registration is compulsory. There is no charge for participating. If for any reason you are prevented from coming then please could you be so kind as to inform us. The website will be open for registration as soon as the location and the programme are finalized. This will be as soon as possible, so please keep informed through this webpage.
