Currently the focus lays on student learning with special attention for the development of students’ self-regulated learning skills (SRL skills) in primary and secondary education. Adding the teachers perspective and dr Dignath’ expertise will allow for exiting new research opportunities with the realm of existing project. The objective for her visit are: 1) to learn how to use the ATES instrument properly, 2) to validate the classroom observations of teachers’ promotion of SRL with the ATES instrument with teachers’ own perspective with in study that is currently conducted in our lab, 3) to connect teachers’ practice with regard to SRL with student outcomes which we can do with in the context of our current “studerend lezen in VMBO en HBO project”.
