Catalysis (KAT,NIOK)

The study group Catalysis partly coincides with the Dutch Institute for Catalysis Research (NIOK). Both have the same board. NIOK is a virtual institute of Dutch university groups active in all areas of catalysis. The Institute promotes cooperation between scientists of different disciplines and universities. It acts as a platform and sparring partner for national and international contacts in the field of catalysis with academia, industry and government.

Catalysis Areas where NIOK is active:

  • Heterogeneous catalysis
  • Homogeneous catalysis
  • Biocatalysis
  • Catalysis engineering

Research in these areas:

  • Design and synthesis of catalysts
  • Reaction engineering
  • Novel catalytic conversions
  • Development and use of experimental and theoretical tools

More information can be found on the NIOK website.
