SDG Interactions and Policy Interventions in Developing Countries

Dutch Research Agenda – Thematic Programming

This research programme aims to encourage research focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) interactions and policy interventions in developing countries. The consortia will work in an inter- and transdisciplinary manner, internationally and across the entire knowledge chain.


The research programme on the theme ‘SDG Interactions and policy Interventions in Developing Countries’ is part of programme line 2 of the Dutch Research Agenda (NWA) programme. The initiator of this research programme is the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Postponement submission of applications due to Corona virus

Submission of applications for the NWA call SDG Interactions and Policy Interventions in Developing Countries has been postponed.

On 17 March 2020, NWO has made this decision: funding instruments that require forming a consortium and / or require co-financing, both in upcoming rounds or rounds in progress, are paused completely and will be resumed one month after the suspension of the national measures.
