Longitudinal Studies in Social and Behavioural Sciences

The aim of this programme was to sustainably archive data collections from important research projects and to make these collections freely available for scientific study. The Longitudinal Studies programme started in 2008 and ran until 2015.

In longitudinal studies, also called longitudinal data collections, measurements are performed in the same manner over a long period of time. This allows a particular development to be mapped. Carefully archiving these data collections and making them available to science means that they can be of immense value in the future.

For Longitudinal Studies in Social and Behavioural Sciences 2012-2015, six longitudinal studies were selected:

Since 2016 these longitudinal studies are participating in the National Infrastructure for the Social Sciences.
