Goal

VerDuS SURF Pop Up is a response to the need for knowledge about new developments in urban regions and ad hoc proposals within the SURF themes. The knowledge development within VerDuS SURF ties in with the five societal challenges at the interfaces of spatial planning, living, accessibility, economy and governance. Proposals in the areas of "Living and the built environment" and "Economy", as formulated in the SURF programme study, and the complex spatial coherency in the developments of the societal challenges are particularly welcome. A proposal can focus on innovative scientific research, as well as knowledge transfer, the development of a tool, or another way of making research applicable.

Applications

Researchers can apply for funding on behalf of a consortium that contains at least one knowledge institution and one public or private partner. The funding is for projects with a maximum duration of 12 months and a maximum project budget of 50,000 euros, including co-funding.

The deadline for submissions is 26 September 2019 at 14.00 hours CEST. After the submission deadline, a selection procedure will take place in which the proposals received will be assessed in competition with each other. NWO aims to inform applicants about the funding decision about 14 weeks after the deadline.

Budget

The budget reserved for this round is 300,000 euros. This will be the last round for VerDuS SURF Pop Up.
