Submit your pitch idea for matchmaking Energy System Integration

14 May 2019

On 23 May, NWO is organizing an information and matchmaking meeting for the third call in the Energy System Integration program. The meeting takes place at Mercure Hotel Amersfoort, from 10 until 14 hours. You can register, submit a pitch, and submit a proposal for a discussion table.

For whom is the call relevant?

Research on system integration requires a multidisciplinary approach, where expertise from both exact/technical sciences, and social sciences and humanities is necessary. Without social innovations (such as participation of consumers, an optimal institutional organization, and the necessary laws), technological innovations cannot succeed. The call therefore stimulates multidisciplinary research, and is relevant for alpha, beta, gamma and technical researchers.

Who can apply within this call?

Researchers from universities, HBO-institutes and TO2-Institutes can submit to and receive funding from this call. The call is relevant for alpha, beta, gamma and technological researchers. Read more about the topic and the conditions of the call in this earlier news item.

Themes of the call

The call has 3 themes:
A. Informing decision makers and enabling energy system innovation
B. Long-term planning and maintenance of physical energy infrastructures
C. Management, flexibility, and digitization in operational energy systems

Register

Please register for the matchmaking by sending an email to systeemintegratie@nwo.nl. Please state your title, first name, last name, organization, scientific discipline, dietary requirements, pitch idea and pitch theme (A, B, C). By registering you agree with your details being passed on to the other attendees for the purpose of matchmaking unless you explicitly state otherwise.

Pitch deadline postponed and no selection

Together with your registration (deadline 18 May), you will receive a Powerpoint template and instructions for submitting a pitch (deadline 21 May). In contrast to our earlier communication, there will be no pitch selection – we will register your pitch (first come, first serve) until we are fully booked. The language of the meeting and the pitches is English.

Discussion tables

After the pitch session, discussion tables will be set up, over which the participants will be distributed. The discussion table topics have not yet been decided. You are invited to suggest a topic. A topic needs to have a clear focus, and should require multiple scientific disciplines for its solution (e.g. mathematics and law).
