New eScience Accelerating Scientific Discovery (ASDI) Call open

The Netherlands eScience Center has opened a new iteration of its Accelerating Scientific Discovery call. The purpose of this Call for Proposals is to enable domain scientists, working in the discipline areas of Environment & Sustainability and Humanities & Social Sciences, to address compute-intensive and/or data-driven problems within their research. Aim of the research proposals should be the pursuit new scientific challenges and enhance and accelerate the process of scientific discovery within the field of the above mentioned discipline areas.


Applications in this call should be from one of the following research domains:

  • Environment & Sustainability
  • Humanities & Social Sciences


The deadline for submission of pre-proposals is May 17th 2018, 14:00 CET. Deadline for submission of full proposals is August 30th 2018, 14:00 CET. Applicants can only submit a full proposal if they have submitted a pre-proposal in the earlier phase of the process.

Whoe can apply?

Proposals can be submitted by researchers conducting research in the above mentioned domains, and working for with any Dutch university or research institute affiliated with NWO or KNAW.
