Second call for proposals Replication Studies open for applications

13 November 2017

Until 6 March 2018, researchers who hold a doctorate can apply for funding for the replication of cornerstone research in the disciplines of the NWO domain Social Sciences and of ZonMw. This is the second round of the pilot programme Replication Studies.

With the pilot, NWO is acquiring knowledge and experience that can lead to an effective way of including replication research in research programmes. The pilot will also contribute to gaining insight into and reflecting upon the requirements that NWO poses on the methodology and transparency of research.

Based on the experiences of the first round (see the news release concerning the awards), several changes have been made in this call for proposals, including the introduction of a preselection round in the assessment procedure. The call for proposals states all conditions for submitting proposals and carrying out the research.

The pilot is intended for researchers who are employed at a Dutch knowledge institution for the duration of the proposed project. They can clearly demonstrate that they have the methodological competencies needed to carry out or supervise the proposed research.

Applicants should also have expertise in the research area of the study to be replicated.
