Exhibition ‘Migrant sex workers in dialogue’

On 25-28 June, researchers VU University and the University of the Witwatersrand will host the exhibition ‘Migrant sex workers in dialogue’ in Amsterdam. The exhibiton presents photos and videos made ​​by migrant sex workers in the Netherlands and South.

The exhibition is part of the research project Doubly vulnerable? The impact of migration legislation, trafficking discourses and transnational networks on the feelings of belonging of migrant sex workers in the Netherlands and South Africa. This project is funded by NWO through the programme Migration, Development and Conflict.

The exhibition is located in the Amsterdam House of Arts and Crafts gallery, in the citycenter of Amsterdam and near the Red Light district. Address: Oude Schans 21, Amsterdam.

Opening hours

  • Grand opening on Wednesday 25 of June, 17:30-21:00 hrs. 
  • Thursday and Friday:  14:00-19:00 hrs. 
  • Saturday: 12:00-19:00 hrs.
