3 million euros for Food, Cognition and Behaviour

26 November 2013

At the end of November NWO has launched the second funding round of a research programme on the interactions between food and consumers, i.e. healthy choices and healthy eating habits, and the impact of food on cognitive health - Food, Cognition and Behaviour. With regard to this topic, NWO wants to join forces with parties in the public and private sectors to organise fundamental scientific research. The call for proposals covers two forms of projects – small, short-term projects (6 to 18 months, max. € 100,000) and large, long-term projects (2 to 5 years, max. € 1,000,000).

The program is a joint initiative of the National Initiative Brain and Cognition, the NWO divisions Social Sciences and Earth and Life Sciences and ZonMw. The closing date for submitting project ideas is 20 May 2014. The deadline for submitting full applications is 23 June 2014, 11:59 am.

Please consult the NWO website for more detailed information on the programme Food, Cognition and Behaviour.

Project ideas and Match Making

You may only submit a proposal if you first submit a project idea. Exchange of information and facilities to search for scientists or public/private partners will be organized based on these ideas. If during the first months after publication of the call many of the project idea initiators express a desire for a matchmaking event, such an event will be organized at the beginning of March 2014.
