On Friday 15 June 2018 about 400 journalists, press officers and researchers meet at the event Bessensap at the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam to network and exchange knowledge about recent developments in science and science communication.

The Bessensap programme consists of various components. The plenary programme, for example, revolves around current debates and events. Scientists will present newsworthy research results in various sessions, and you will have the opportunity to acquaint yourself with the way journalists and press officers operate during several workshops. Moreover, these workshops will give you a chance to broaden your knowledge and skills in a variety of areas. The winners of the NWO Spinoza Prize and Stevin Prize will be announced at Bessensap. More information about the programme will be available soon on NWO’s website. We will announce each new programme component and all speakers on Twitter.
