RAAK-PRO

Universities of applied science can apply for €700.000 to finance long-term practice-oriented research.

Purpose

RAAK-PRO enhances the quality (methodological and in relation to the content) of applied research and strengthens the research capacity of the relevant research groups. This is done by bolstering the long-term cooperative relationship with the national knowledge network and strengthening the position in the knowledge chain, based on the need that exists in practice. The collaboration is aimed at developing new knowledge and applying it.

Directed by the working field, systematic research is carried out in collaboration with knowledge institutions, universities and the industry/business&public sector. The results of the research are new knowledge and insights. These will be translated, in a systematic and structural way, into new methods of action alternatives for professionals. These demonstrably effect the education innovation, the professional practice and the knowledge network.

Who can apply

The applicant must be a government-funded university of applied science, as referred to in Article 1.8 of the Dutch Higher Education and Research Act (WHW).

The person submitting the subsidy application in ISAAC is deemed to be authorized for this purpose by the Executive Board of the applicant's university of applied sciences.

What to apply for

The maximum grant possible is €700,000. The duration of the project is maximum of 48 months. Deployment of subsidy outside the term is not possible. The intended project must start between February 1st, 2022 and July 1st, 2022.

The grants are exclusively intended for conducting practice-oriented research and implementing the project proposal. Costs of (sub-) activities that have already been financed from other sources is not possible.

Excluded are applications that focus exclusively on expertise promotion of staff, the development of a new education / new curriculum for the university of applied sciences and / or regular activities of a university of applied sciences.
