Practicle knowledge of Food and Green

The four HAO institutions (Aeres University of Applied Sciences, Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, Inholland or HAS University of Applied Sciences) can apply for funding for research projects carried out in collaboration with SMEs.

Purpose

The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV), the Taskforce for Applied Research SIA and the four agricultural universities of applied science jointly invest in the Practical Knowledge for Food and Green Program.

The research program aims to further develop the knowledge infrastructure in the green domain. It is also an opportunity for universities of applied sciences to further strengthen their position in the knowledge chain. The program is in line with the social tasks as written in the coalition agreement, the LNV vision and national policy agenda.

The four HAO institutions (Aeres University of Applied Sciences, Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, Inholland or HAS University of Applied Sciences) can apply 

What to apply for

The maximum grant size that can be applied for depends on the specific thematic call. The maximum duration of the grant period is 24 months. Activity outside the duration of the project is not fundable. The intended project must start between 1 August 2019 and 1 December 2019.

  • The deadline for submitting your application was tuesday, May 28, 2019, 2:00 PM Dutch time.

Assessment

Criteria

All proposals are assessed by an assessment committee on the basis of three assessment criteria:

  1. Question articulation
  2. Networking
  3. Research plan

Procedure

The applications are assessed by the evaluation committee on the basis of three evaluation criteria: question articulation, networking and research plan. First the assessment committee assesses the application in writing. The findings (questions and comments) of the assessment committee are recorded for each application. These findings are sent to applicants in preparation for the interview. 
The assessment committee invites the applicants for an interview about the application, which also includes the initial assessment. 
The assessment committee determines the final assessment after all interviews.
