Local Digital Compentence Centres

Universities, academic medical centres and the NWO and KNAW institute organisation can apply for one-off impulse funding for the establishment or further development of a locally based Digital Competence Centre (DCC). The funding is intended to stimulate research institutions to further develop an existing centralised DCC, or to set up a DCC at a central level within the institution.

Purpose

This funding scheme concerns a one-time impulse funding for the establishment or further development of a locally established Digital Competence Centres (DCC). In this way, NWO wants to implement the 'bestedingplan' of the Committee Apers with regard to the formation and development of Local DCCs. This is done by offering research institutions the opportunity to apply for funds to further develop an existing centralised DCC, or to set up a DCC at a central level within the institution. In addition, the purpose of this instrument is to secure the impulse obtained with this funding within the organisation both at a policy and on a financial level.
