The Food & Business Applied Research Fund provides grants to applied research contributing to innovation for food security and private sector development in the 15 partner countries of Dutch development cooperation. Proposals may be submitted by consortia consisting of at least
GCP aims to generate research –based advanced understanding of 1) emerging key issues in food security and their impact on regional and local food security and 2) the role of private sector development. Transdisciplinary proposals can be submitted by teams of researchers and other (public/private) partners from both the Netherlands and from at least one Low or Middle-Income Country. This fourth GCP call is developed in collaboration with the CGIAR Research Programme on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).
Food & Business Research provides grants to consortia of researchers and practitioners (private and/or public) for research that contributes to food security in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs). Cooperation within the programme between public and private parties is expected to facilitate the utilisation of results research, thus contributing to new products, policies and practices. The activity consists of two separate funding instruments: the Food & Business Global Challenges Programme and the Food & Business Applied Research Fund.
