In this executive summary, we seek to answer the question: in what ways can smallholder agriculture contribute to improved food and nutrition security (FNS) in their rural contexts? It presents key insights and results of the full paper on ‘Smallholders and Food and Nutrition Security', which is published in a series of articles based on a synthesis study of the Food & Business Research programme.
