Employment conditions

If you demand quality, you must also deliver it. NWO therefore offers an outstanding employment package.

We pay a competitive salary including a ‘thirteenth month’ bonus and paid holiday entitlement. The pension scheme is also excellent: NWO pays two thirds of the contributions.

Customised employment conditions

We give our staff the freedom to choose certain aspects of their employment conditions. For example, staff can buy or sell hours of leave, purchase a bicycle on favourable terms or request an additional contribution towards travel expenses.

Training and development

NWO is an ambitious organisation and we need well-trained people to realise our goals. We therefore invest in the personal development of our staff. NWO offers a wide range of training courses and facilitates internal mobility and temporary exchanges with other employers. Employees without a clear career plan are encouraged to pursue personal development with the aid of career guidance or a course of coaching sessions.

Collective labour agreement (CAO)

The basic conditions of this employment package are set out in the Collective Labour Agreement for Research Institutes. The employers concerned are represented by the Employers' Association of Research Institutes (WVOI).
