Added Value

Advancing knowledge utilisation is one of NWO’s targets. The policy for encouraging knowledge utilisation has various elements. NWO facilitates the awareness of researchers so that third parties can possibly use their research results and can pay due attention to knowledge utilisation. On top of this NWO is introducing grants that must facilitate the interaction between researchers and potential users of knowledge.

Added Value, a joint initiative between the Divisions for the Earth and Life Sciences (ALW), Humanities (GW) and Social Sciences (MaGW), has been set up with the aim of supporting researchers who wish to make their research results from current or recently concluded projects (more) suitable and available for third parties.

Added Value is a one-off initiative that each of the participating divisions will realise in its own manner appropriate to the field it covers.

Who can apply

The division to which the application should be submitted depends upon which scientific discipline the research results that can potentially lead to knowledge utilisation fall under: 

• Added Value for Earth and Life Sciences open for applications
• α Added Value 
• Added Value for the Social Sciences 

When can be applied

• Closing date for submitting applications for Added Value for Earth and Life Sciences is 7 June 2012
• Closing date for submitting applications for α Added Value was 10 January 2011
• Closing date for submitting applications for Added Value for the Social Sciences is 20 January 2011

Criteria

Pleaserefer to the different grants for the brochures and specific guidelines for writingand submitting the proposals. The brochures detail the deadlines, budgets,criteria, procedures, and compositions of the committees.
