Start- en coördinatiesubsidies

Naast de subsidies voor onderzoeksprojecten is ook een aantal startsubsidies (vooruitlopend op de “reguliere” subsidies voor coördinatie en onderzoek) en coördinatiesubsidies verleend. Deze subsidies zijn verleend om de coördinatie van internationale projecten door Nederlandse onderzoekers mogelijk te maken. In totaal werden zes internationale IPY projecten door Nederlandse onderzoekers gecoördineerd:
