IBOS Open Conference

IBOS Open Conference

15-17 May 2011

IBOS (Integration of Biosynthesis and Organic Synthesis) aims at a change of strategy in synthetic chemistry by integrating state of the art organic chemistry and modern biochemistry and biotechnology. This will enable a new and sustainable future for more efficient industrial synthesis of ever more complex products, hand in hand with a drastic reduction of waste products.

The Programme Committee of IBOS is now organizing finalization of this program with an appealing open conference on IBOS topics. This means the Program Committee wants to demonstrate to the audience how synthesis, organic chemistry, bio catalysis, chemo catalysis and fermentative approaches can be combined and/or compared. The IBOS Open Conference 2011 will demonstrate the approaches that various international top scientists take to achieve this.

Sub topics (half day sessions) will be on:

  • C-C bond formation technology
  • Peptide synthesis
  • Chiral amines
  • hydroxylation and alcohol synthesis using bio- or chemo catalysis
  • New technology platforms: challenging the frontiers in integrative approaches

The IBOS conference is open to all participants in the IBOS programme and also accessible for interested scientists outside IBOS. For participants outside the IBOS programme a participation fee will be charged (read more).
