Selection

Criteria

The content of the proposals shall be assessed against four criteria:

  1. Programming: are the project plan and the associated budgeting both adequate and realistic?
  2. Synergy: to what extent is the proposal capable of realising effective cross-fertilisation between the IIPs? Does the proposed consortium contain the right people/parties?
  3. Utilisation: what prospects does the intended result have for socially or economically relevant applications? What is the relevance of the theme (for example: how does the theme of the proposal fit within ICT2030.nl, the ICT agenda for the future of the Netherlands?)
  4. Quality and innovation: to what extent does (do) the research question(s) offer sufficient scientific quality and opportunities for innovation from an international perspective?

Procedure

Referees shall be used to assess the proposals. The referees’ report shall be used as an advisory report for the evaluation committee that will be appointed by ICTRegie. The rebuttal and selection procedure might include an interview. The evaluation committee will issue a recommendation to the director of ICTRegie, who on the basis of this shall decide if a proposal is funded or rejected.
