ISS- Erasmus University of Rotterdam Conference with Professor Johan Galtung

The ISS-Erasmus University of Rotterdam are pleased to announce a forthcoming Conference. This will take place on December 8th 2009. The conference aims to provide space for scholarly reflection on the conundrums faced by those researching and teaching in peace and conflict studies. While scholars in the field are demanded to provide high quality policy advice and expertise, questions arise as to what is the advice that gets taken and what are the theories that underpin that advice. It is precisely those questions that the Conference will attempt to answer.

The Conference marks the incorporation of ISS into Erasmus University Rotterdam and it is mainly targeted in the first place at scholars and students from ISS, EUR and other institutions in The Netherlands.
