This programme with the National Science Council of Taiwan (NSC) has the purpose to stimulate excellent scientific research on catalysis by fostering collaborations between research groups who can mutually profit from each other’s expertise.
Who can apply
Group leaders (assistant, associate or full professors) at a Dutch university or NWO approved research institute can apply together with researchers working at a Taiwanese university or research institute.
What can be applied for
Grants can be used to finance personnel, consumables and equipment related to the proposed research and travel and subsistence costs.
When can be applied
Full proposals must have reached NWO no later than 15 December 2005.
Criteria
Proposals will be assessed on scientific quality, innovativeness and added value of the proposed collaboration.
Procedure
In the Netherlands the proposals will be assessed in a een peer review procedure by (inter)national reviewers and ranked by a jury. This ranking will be combined with the ranking composed by NSC and funding-descisions will be made jointly based upon the combined ranking.
Budget
A budget of € 750,000 is available.
