Op 29 oktober 2004 vond in Den Haag de Kick-off bijeenkomst voor het onderzoeksprogramma CATCH plaats. Het doel van de dag was drieledig:
- Officiële start van en kennismaking met het CATCH-onderzoeksprogramma
- Lancering “Oproep tot indiening onderzoeksvoorstellen open ronde CATCH”
- Start samenstelling CATCH-gebruikersgroepen
