- supervises the Programme Committee (PC) in the execution of the research programme with regard to progress and cohesion;

reports annually to financial partners on the progress of the programme and the financial situation;

appoints members of the programme committee;

approves annually the budget proposal for the programme;

makes the decisions within the granting procedure based on the advices of the International Scientific Advsiory Board;
-
ensures actions to be taken to guarantee the continued availability and sustainability of the programme results.
- determines and monitors the course of the research programme;
- develops a list of success criteria which are to be used in evaluating the programme; - formulates a plan for knowledge dissemination;
- prepares a Call for Proposals and formulates the assessment criteria;
- reports annually on the progress of the research programme, its budgetary situation and its plans for the next years;
- organises a midterm evaluation and the end evaluation of the research programme.
- brings advice to the programme committee on the quality and the course of the programme in an international perspective;
- assesses and prioritises the full proposals in the open granting scheme and advises the steering committee on the research proposals to be granted.
- The Executive Board monitors the daily management of the research programme supported by the CATCH secretariat.
Director’s board of CATCH cultural heritage institutions:
- exchanges their experiences and ‘best pratices’;
- prepares structured facilities within their organisation for the software developed in CATCH.
- sustain the synergy among the CATCH projects;
- advise the Executive Board and the Programme Committee on the course of the programme;
- ensure the cohesion between the course of research projects and the main objectives of the programme.
- monitors the usability aspects during the conduct of the research project;
- provides the project leaders, researchers and programme committee substantive information relevant to the knowledge transfer to practical situations;
- ensures effective transmission of project results to the end-user and translates the users’ concerns relevant to the conducted research.
