WOTR0’ s Executive Board extended and renewed

As of 1 January 2005, the Governing Board of NWO has appointed five new members of the Executive Board of WOTRO, for a 3 year term.  

The five new members are:

• Ms. Joyeeta Gupta, Professor in Policy and Law of Water Resources and Environment at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft and at the Institute for Environmental Studies of the Faculty of Earth and Life Sciences at the Free University of Amsterdam;
• Gert Oostindie, Director of the KITLV/Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies in Leiden and  Professor in Caribbean Studies at Utrecht University;
• Robert Sauerwein,  Professor at the Center of Molecular Life Sciences at the Radboud University Nijmegen;
• Ms. Gerti Hesseling, Senior Researcher in Legal Anthropology at the African Studies Centre in Leiden and Chair of the RAWOO/Netherlands Development Assistance Research Council and
• Martin Kropff (chairman), Director of the Plant Sciences Group at Wageningen University and Research Centre.
  
  Michiel Keyzer (Free University of Amsterdam) and Frans Hüsken (Radboud University Nijmegen) and Ben Zegers (the former chair) have ended their terms in the Board.
