The GLANCE programme is designed to stimulate fundamental research into large-scale parallel and distributed systems. The recent great progress in hardware (processors, networks, disks) had led to the creation of parallel and distributed systems of an unprecedented scale. The GLANCE research concerns the following themes:
- Management and analysis
- Data acquisition and processing
- Autonomous configuration, composition and coordination
