Governance
WOTRO is a division within the NWO organisation. The WOTRO Board is ultimately responsible for strategy and policy. Members are appointed by the NWO Governing Board.
The WOTRO Board is advised by a Policy Advisory Committee and, for specific activities, Advisory Committees. For the day-to-day management of the WOTRO activities the Board is supported by a professional office.

Funding
WOTRO Science for Global Development is core-funded by NWO. For specific activities and programmes WOTRO manages additional funds from external partners, including the policy departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
