Bulletin board: information on research locations
selected study locations
In preparation of the actual research
programme, a group of experts selected a number of suitable study locations in
different parts of the Netherlands, i.e.:
- Afferdensche and Deestsche
Waarden
- Biesbosch
- Ronde Venen
selection criteria on the basis of which the study locations have been
selected
Important selection criteria were prior knowledge, ecology,
chemistry, gradient, function, logistics and relevance for government policies. All study locations were picked in order to enable research in different type
settings within the same study area: river floodplains, grassland and still
water.
location coordinators
A location coordinator was appointed for
each study location. The coordinator coordinated all research in his study
location and organised the logistics. The location coordinators
were:
Afferdensche and Deestsche Waarden; Dr W.C. Ma and Mr P.A.F. de Bie
(Alterra)
Biesbosch; Dr C.A.M. van Gestel and Mr C. Verhoeff (VUA)
Ronde
Venen; Dr M. Rutgers and Mr J.J. Bogte (RIVM)
