- Dutch National Supercomputer in 2007
- installation of the new national supercomputer, an SGI Altix. December 2003 at SARA
- cofinancing the purchase of a Cray SV1e at RUG (2001)
- cofinancing the purchase of a IBM SP (Power3/Power4) bij SARA (2000/2001)
- installation of TERAS (a 'double' Origin 3800 van SGI, in november 2000 at SARA
- cofinancing of an advanced visualisation centre at SARA for national use
- aquiring an automatic mass-storage syste for Terabytes on dataslag
- financing a database machine for CWI
- financing experimental use of the first 34 Mb/s-verbinding (TU Delft-SARA);
- participating in the upgrade of the national research netwerk (SURFnet) to SURFnet-3 (2Mb/s) and SURFnet-4 (34 Mb/s)
- the NCF Grants Program for parallelisation
- NCF was one of the founders of ARCADE, a European academic platform for exchange of information and resources
