Information and Communication

The Information and Communication department (in Dutch: Voorlichting en Communicatie (V&C)) prepares and carries out the organisation’s information policy: from PR and corporate communication to policy information, marketing communication and science communication. The department initiates and leads communication projects that involve NWO as a whole, organises events (such as the National Science Quiz) and produces a large number of electronic and printed publications. The intended audience of V&C ranges from the academic world, individual customers and the media to the general public.

In performing these tasks V&C closely cooperates with Policy Development and Support (BOO) where communication about NWO policy is involved.

In providing grant information and communication to the general public V&C is assisted by the information officers of the research councils and institutes.
