TALENT

What was Talent

Under the Talent programme, researchers in all fields of study can apply for funding to conduct research abroad over a period of between three and twelve months.
The Talent programme is closed for submission. A similar facility is offered by the Rubicon programme.

Objective

The fellowships are intended to help the recipients to conduct research directed at a further exploration or more in-depth study of their own fields or related disciplines. They are not intended to fund courses of advanced study abroad or to enable applicants to obtain degrees at foreign universities; nor are they awarded to enable work to be done in preparation for research which has yet to begin.

Who could apply?

The Talent programme was directed primarily at promising researchers who are still at the start of their careers and whose academic strengths make it likely that they will eventually achieve eminence in the Dutch research world. Full professors may not apply.

What could be applied for?

Talent fellowships are intended to meet actual expenses incurred by the recipients. They cover only the travel expenses to and from the destination and subsistence costs in the country of destination for the duration of the award. Where the fellowship is awarded for a period of ten months or more, a supplementary allowance may be available to meet the costs of travel and subsistence for family members accompanying the recipient.
