Objective

The purpose of this investment subsidy is stimulating a balanced national investment policy and a balanced investment policy of research institutes.

This investment subsidy is meant for investments with financial contributions from NWO between 110,000 and 900,000 euro.

Application

Who can apply

Universities, NWO Institutes, Dutch scientific libraries and scientific organisations for the provision of information. KNAW Institutes are excluded from participation.

What can be applied for

Grants for scientific apparatus with a financial contribution by NWO ranging between 110,000 and 900,000 euro. Included are costs for setting up databases, necessary software and bibliographies.

When can be applied

Closing date for submitting applications was 2 September 2009.

Selection

Criteria

Scientific quality, social and national interest, financial and technical criteria.

Procedure

The advisory committee consults with the governing boards of the research councils. The research councils have their own conditions and selection procedure. Candidates can explain their application in a separate procedure. Because the Minstry of Education, Culture and Science has to approve the decision, their priorities count as well.
