Colourful Talent in Science

Ethnic minorities are poorly represented in science. NWO is a strong advocate of diversity and regrets the small number of role models from ethnic backgrounds in Dutch science. NWO also believes that the Netherlands can no longer tolerate any form of underrepresentation, as this means the unnecessary loss of scientific talent.

Evaluation Mosaic

Mosaic, the subsidy programme that awards research grants to students from ethnic minorities, has been evaluated. All of the parties involved - students, professors and the universities - valued the programme. Moreover, Mosaic realised a considerable impact within a relatively short space of time. NWO is pleased with the evaluation report. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and NWO have agreed to continue the Mosaic programme. Read the evaluation
