Sustainable Hydrogen
Science Fair

Science Fair
The afternoon program of the Kick-off Symposium was filled with a Science Fair, which was introduced by Dr. S.B. van der Molen. This event was aimed at shaping an environment in which the participants could brainstorm freely on the presented knowledge gaps, in small, spontaneously forming groups. The discussions took place around presentations of examples of the current state of technology and the remaining gaps in fundamental knowledge on the seven main research lines, as identified in the Programme. The participants were encouraged to find and describe possible contours of new and challenging research approaches. In this way the first steps could be set that might help to come up with genuinely new research ideas for the first call for (pre)proposals.
At the Science Fair the participants also got opportunities to catch a glimpse of examples of sophisticated hydrogen devices and of modern technology based on hydrogen as energy carrier.

Discussion Posters for the Science Fair
Below you find the 'Science Fair Discussion Posters'. They are ranked according to the Seven Main Themes of the Research Program.1. Hydrogen storage; the materials science of hydrogen 2. Hydrogen storage and its implications for energy systems (and their management) 3. The integration of hydrogen into energy supply (for the transition period and after) 4. The social acceptance of hydrogen as a part of the energy infrastructure 5. Hydrogen production in a broad sense (i.e. from fossile and renewable sources) 6. Separation technologies for clean hydrogen 7. Hydrogen activated energy saving devices and sensors
