Reappointment Prof. W. van Genugten as chair of WOTRO Board

With effect from 1 September 2009, Prof. Willem J.M. van Genugten has been reappointed as chair of the NWO division that focuses on scientific research in the area of development issues (WOTRO).

Willem van Genugten is Professor of International Law at Tilburg University. He is also the chair of the Human Rights permanent committee of the Advisory Council on International Affairs and chair of the School of Human Rights Research board.

Professor van Genugten has published many articles about development-related subjects such as poverty and human rights, international commercial law and the rights of indigenous peoples.
