In 2011 the following programmes have been awarded with a grant:
- Addressing social, cultural and historical factors limiting the contribution of medical laboratory services to antenatal care in Mali (SociaLab)
- Mainstreaming a health systems approach to delivery of maternal health services: transdisciplinary research in Rwanda and South Africa
- Improving maternal health services through political accountability mechanisms in Burundi and DR Congo
In 2010 the following programmes have been awarded with a grant:
- Accelerating progress towards attainment of MDG 4 and 5 in Ghana through basic health systems function strengthening
- Community Based Health Insurance in Ethiopia
- Developing Sustainable Community Health Resources in Poor Settings in Uganda
- Empowering the community towards malaria elimination
- Towards a client-oriented health insurance system in Ghana
