Energy Transitions

Together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Agentschap NL the Energy Transitions programme was developed. The programme is aimed at academic research into the transition to a sustainable energy supply in the Netherlands. The programme primarily focuses on social research, but collaboration with the scientific disciplines is encouraged. The scientific framework of the programme is made up of the programme leads understanding transitions to sustainable energy and governing energy transitions. Furthermore the programme places a strong emphasis on policy. The policy framework of the programme is provided by the Innovation Agenda Energy.

The programme is part of the NWO Theme Sustainable Earth and gives an interpretation of the main domain Energy and resources.
