The China Netherlands Joint Scientific Thematic Research Programme (JSTP) aims at stimulating sustainable research collaboration by funding joint research projects and dialogue seminars.
Joint research projects
JSTP aims at fostering research collaborations of Sino-Dutch research teams that share high ambitions to work together in sustainable joint research projects by providing multi-annual research funding, and by calling for proposals demonstrating complementary expertise between Chinese and Dutch research teams in areas, in which both China and the Netherlands excel. Thematic calls for proposals will be published annually, featuring different thematic priorities each year.
The 2011-2012 Call for Proposals addresses the research topic 'Agriculture & Food: How to Feed the World?'.
Who can apply
Research teams of Dutch and Chinese researchers, with a senior Principal Investigator on both the Dutch side and the Chinese side.
What can be applied for
Joint research projects with a duration of 3 to 4 years.
When can be applied
- Closing date for submitting Expressions of Interest was 16 January 2012, 11:00 hrs CET
- Closing date for submitting Joint Research Projects proposals is 10 April 2012, 11:00 hrs CET

Budget
A budget of up to M€ 1,5 is available for the 2011-2012 JSTP Call on the Dutch side. This budget covers funding for up to five joint projects. This contribution will be matched by the Chinese counterparts.
