Parallel Worlds - 8 december 2008

The board of NWO Council for Physical Science is pleased to invite you to the event ‘Parallel Worlds’ on 8 December 2008 in ‘Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ’ in Amsterdam.

Goal
The three disciplines of Astronomy, Computer Science and Mathmatics seem to develop in parallel ways. In practice they strengthen each other. This conference gives you the opportunity to meet up with the three parallel worlds of Physical Sciences. Come out and discover the possibilities of interdisciplinarity. Get to know the scientists from the three disciplines and people from scientific partners, government and business.

Programme
Robbert Dijkgraaf and Vincent Icke are two of the listed speakers. Special guest is futurologist Ian Pearson who will give his vision on the progress of new developments throughout information technology, considering both technological and social implications.
