Objective
The committee on National Road Map Large-scale Research Facilities (aka Van Velzen Committee) has been appointed by the Minister of Education, Culture and Science to advise on international research infrastructure (so-called ESFRI projects) as well as to outline a national road map for research infrastructure.

Selection

Criteria

In accordance with the six so-called Nijkamp-criteria, drawn up by the Innovation Platform and the five criteria of the Van Velzen Committee.

Procedure

This assessment procedure is an independent activity of the Van Velzen Committee, but makes use of the NWO electronic application system Iris.

NWO and SenterNovem offer recommendations to the Van Velzen Committee, which advises the Minister.
