Bilateral collaboration

Within NWO, ALW is involved in three bilateral collaboration programmes:

• Netherlands – Russia (1991-2011).
  A Netherlands - Russia commission, established by the general governing board of NWO, is in charge of the decision process on this programme.
• Netherlands – Indonesia (Teluk Banten, East Kalimantan) (2005-2012).
  This is yet another collaboration, with WOTRO and KNAW, that has a long previous history.
• Netherlands - Norway and the United Kingdom (2003-2008)
  On the subject of Global Change, particularly in the region of the North Atlantic Ocean, trilateral cooperation takes place in the RAPID programme, in which the Netherlands cooperates with Norway and the United Kingdom.
