German ministry funds research on confinement and biosafety of genetically modified crops

The German version of "Lab Times", called "Labor Journal" mentions the fact that the German federal ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) has allocated 10 miljoen Euro for research projects regarding the safety of genetically modified crops. Focus lies with confinement methods (to reduce the spreading of GM plants and/or traits) and biosafety questions resulting from the effects of the genetical modification in such plants.
