NWO Theme Sustainable Earth
Steering Committee
The Sustainable Earth Steering Committee was established on 1 July 2008. The members of the Steering Committee are representatives of the most involved areas of the NWO and associated foundations, and of the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM). The Steering Committee members are:

The tasks of the steering committee are as follows:
- Taking responsibility for the implementation of the Sustainable Earth theme;
- Overseeing the progress of the theme’s execution;
- Establishing independent program committees for the central programmes;
- Coordinating and advising those involved with the associated programmes;
- Taking responsibility for all communications, monitoring, impact assessment and communication within the theme, reporting to the general public and to stakeholders.
