International Polar Year - Nederland

From 1 March 2007 until 1 March 2009 the fourth International Polar Year (IPY) will take place, exactly 50 years after the last IPY. IPY is an internationally coordinated research programme, with interest in all science disciplines. During the IPY activities focussing on the Earth´s polar regions and polar research will take place in various locations in The Netherlands. These range from museum exhibitions, public lectures and documentaries to weblogs.
