Key topics in the NWO Strategy 2002-2005, Themes plus Talent

There were two key topics. Firstly, there were nine multidisciplinary research themes selected. See also above for more info. Their purpose was to bring the Netherlands up to date with cutting-edge research in the international arena and to attract first rate scientists. Secondly, it was important to stimulate research talent. NWO employed various resources to improve upon the career perspectives of young, talented researchers.
