Strategical European Agriculture research plan presented

'Plants for the future - A European vision for plant genomics and biotechnology, 2025', that's the name of the strategical European research plan for agriculture, presented after consulting about 290 stakeholders in agriculture, environment and industry. It was compiled by (or on behalf of) the European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO), the European Commission and the European Association for Bioindustries (Europabio).
The report provides a plan to keep agriculture, the basis under 600 M€ worth of econimic activities in agriculture, food and feed industries, vital. 'Biotechnologie' and 'Genomics' are key in the report that focusses on a sustainable, resource-conserving and very innovative "bio-based economy".
